Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Rise of Imperium Mod
Rise of Imperium Mod - new full-race modification for SS1.2

This mod have some changes of other races. And it includes a new race - Terra Legion. This is the bravest and honest legioners of Holy Terra, the Cradle of Humankind . This race is very easy in game. Terran infantry and vehicles are very powerful and stronger in attacks. Terrans have only one building - Terra HQ with line of units. Also I changed the Space Marines race, created new units and new abilities, made brave marines more stronger than in the official DoW game. My partner Karandras let me take his models of eldar for my mod. Eldar now looks like in a tabletop-game.

Terran units:

Robobuilder
Legioners of Terra
Grenadiers of Alba
Guard of Militant
Leman Russ Excecutioner

New Space Marines units:

Grey Justicars
Scout Veterans

And there a lot of new abilities of other units and reces. Have fun!

Railworks: Railworks - East Kent Branch Line V1.1 - NSE Era - 3rd Rail
East Kent Branch Line V1.1 - NSE Era - 3rd Rail

Dover Central - Canterbury South Via Folkestone

Unfortunately because this route uses default only assets the actual 3rd rail doesn't show mainly because it is only avaliable in paywhere items.

Here is a fictional route based in East Kent around three towns that are named after real life towns in East Kent, although are completely fictional. The main towns are Dover a small coastal town (although no actual coast), Folkestone a small city with a few skyscrappers, and Canterbury which is another small city which will have a small airport (Canterbury Parkway - not included). This route was created for the 2nd UKTrain Sim route challenge and is a 3rd rail based route, which means all electric trains will work on it (even those with Overhead Pantographs). This route was created in a month so it won't be the best route although I've tried to make the route accurate for an East Kent Setting, it won't be perfect but then what is.

The era for this setting is Network South East, although for the scenarios I have used Network South East Class 166 Networker Turbo units as Class 466 Two Car Networkers simply because those are the closest that I could get. I have also used Intercity 125s for the mainline parts simply for the difference of stock although in reality it would more likely be slam door stock would be more accurate (e.g. 411s, 421s or 423s or similar) The route starts in Dover a small town which has a terminal station with 6 Platforms and the start of three main line routes, including the branch line, a fast line via folkestone and another line which goes via Canterbury Parkway (not in this route)

Route Requirements
UK Buildings Model Pack (Free DLC)
(no Payware DLC needed)

Stalker: Winter Mod for Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl
A winter mod for Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl. This mod adds a realistic winter suits in the game. All locations are covered with snow. The trees are white, some stalkers a in a special camouflage color, not to stand out from the snow.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Marvel4's Era Mod
"Marvel4's Era Mod" is pretty straightforward - it's an era mod made by Marvel4.

The mod looks nice and has a high level of polish. It is a lot like Battlefront Extreme, for all that entails. Because while it is a solid, consistent piece of work, like Battlefront Extreme it appears to be a lot of flash with not a lot of really new substance.

And of course, that's completely fine, if that's what you're looking for in a mod. Not to draw the comparison out too long, but there are obviously lots of people who enjoy Battlefront Extreme, despite its relatively plain additions to the game. There are consequently lots who could probably enjoy this - it does do a lot in terms of the requisite clone legion skins, the updated models, etc.

One real issue I saw with this was the essential lack of difference between the units. The author bills it as "balance," and while balance is definitely something that should be sought after, I think there are better ways to balance things than by making everything feel functionally identical. It didn't contribute to the feeling of "seen that before" by not having any really unique units.

Empire at War: Imperial Legion v1.0
"An entire legion of my best troops awaits them. Oh, I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive." As we remember all too well, Even a legion of Imperial troops isn't enough for the might of the all powerful Ewok! That aside, this does come across as too powerful (and it is). Although it could find some use in a mod...
Quote:
Imperial Legion v1.0

It's a simple mod that gives you a legion of stormtroopers. To be exact ~172 stormtroopers in squads of 9 on land, and a star destroyer as transport (escorted by 3 acclamator and 2 victory destroyer). In autoresolve nothing stands in its way (so if you against it Then try to destroy the star destroyer that contains the troopers else you're doomed smile)

Stalker: Compatibility fatch for Transport mod and PRIPYATAN ARMS
Quote:
Installing mods is never as simple as drag-and-drop. Initially, yeah, first mod: nothing to overwrite. 2nd mod: a few extra things here and there. Kay. But with Stalker, installing mods means updating .ltx files to include the new referenced materials. Fortunately, thats what Notepad++ is for.

This "mod" consists of the Pripyatan ARMS ui_main_menu.ltx file combined appropriately with JABBA69R's late Transport Mod's custom version of the vanilla .ltx file. With this .ltx file installed, these 2 AWESOME mods will work together seamlessly! Except for the HL2 buggy...still working on that. You'll see.

Cheers, mates!

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Darky War Mod
This mod by "Dakota_from_SWBF2" is a small side mod that does some stuff with Dark Troopers.

You've got basically two options - overpowered Dark Troopers with the rest of the sides or overpowered Dark Troopers by themselves. It's a pretty standard "super-X-unit" mod, so if you've played one like it you're probably familiar with the concept.

It has instructions for using it with a dedicated server, if you're interested in setting that up. The author appears to be a little confused about what "online-compatible" means, at least in context. The readme will call this an online-compatible mod - it's not. If you hop online with this mod installed, you'll be unable to join any servers. You can host it, as instructed, but it's important to keep in mind that - just like any sides mod - this will overwrite stock sides. You should back them up before you install and be aware of it breaking online compatibility.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Marine Mod
"Marine Mod," by Sbad3Z, is a hex-edit mod that changes units from three of the game's four sides into that side's marine unit.

It's pretty straightforward. For some reason, the CIS loses their sniper while the Empire and Republic lose their heavy. That was kind of an odd choice in terms of gameplay balance. It doesn't quite balance out the same anymore.

In any case, as with any mod that replaces stock files, this may break some mods and will break online compatibility, so be sure to back up any files before you replace them. Please see the readme for further instructions.

Armada 2: Intrepid Class/USS Voyager
To put it nicely, this is the ONLY Intrepid class starship you will EVER need to download. Dan1025 takes his level of previous submitted work on this ship and just blows it away with this improvement.

This includes both a generic Intrepid, and a USS Voyager hero ship. And they're both equally magnificent, one as a hero ship, the other as a regular part of any A2 build.

There's a reason this review isn't longer: it's just that nice to see work this high-quality available for A2. Download this right now. Don't just read about it, see it for yourself.

Empire at War: Infinites ROTJ Darth Vader
A glowing white Darth Vader? Is he an angel? An angel of death? I'm not at all familiar with the Infinities comic that this is referencing, but it looks pretty good (except for the cape part, please find a way to fix that for maximum glowing factor). You'll need to know some coding to get this to work in game.

Quote:
This is my very first reskined model.(Woohoo) So if it does look bad that's the reason. This pack includes a reskin and hexedited model of Darth Vader made to look like Vader from the Star Wars Infinites Return of the Jedi Comic. I also changed Vader to have a blue lightsaber instead of a red one. So far the only bug I found is that Vader's cape stays black even though I did reskin that part too.

Jedi Knight III: -[CF]-Daskane
Alas Reborn and Cultist skins are often much maligned, often because of the fact that people often make them brightly coloured and plaster clan insignia all over them for use as their clan skin. As I once said in a review a long time ago, in that respect they are very much like Vauxhall Corsa's are in the UK, the first thing any self professed boy racer does is buy a Corsa as soon as they can drive and then stick a hideous body kit and a set of huge rims on them. Not that personalised or clan themed Reborn or Cultist skins are a bad thing, but generally speaking people don’t have much interest in downloading them , specifically because they are personal and only really relevant to that particular clan (if it has clan markings of course).

Here however we have something that completely defies all of those well established usages; not only is is a Cultist/Reborn crossover, but it is a clan skin without clan insignia! So let not the name or the fact that it is filed under the clans section put you off, there are no clan markings or insignia on this skin!

The skin itself is based off the Lord Agathon skin from a few years back, the colour of the clothes have been adjusted so they are now all black and yellow Sith eyes and a mask have been added to the face to give it that slightly more cultist look. The finished product does indeed look like a cross between a Cultist and a Reborn and I think its pretty cool, it reminds me of those Sith Assassins that you encounter in KotOR. There are also team skins and the character sounds are a mixture of Cultist and Reborn sounds, which rounds the hybrid theme off nicely.

Knights of the Old Republic II: Playable Saedhe
My fellow staffer Marius Fett returns with another modification for the Second Knights of the Old Republic game. The is a new unique head for your player charachter in the Sith Lords, this is suffice to say a well thought out, and executed mod. It is based of the Saedhe unique head, the author has also used the scout uniform model which was still in the KotOR 2 assets to give you more unique player clothing. This is certainly a good looking PC, so those looking for a new PC head, or new PC clothing I'm sure will be delighted with this offering. As with all aesthetic modifications a review of the screenshots would be most beneficial in ascertaining if this modification is one that you would like in your game!

Beyon' the Amazon is a simple map variing in size depending on the amount of players. The terrain is based on saguenay, but without the ponds. There is one traderoute that splits the map in half and up to five Aztec, Maya and Tupi villages. There is little gold and only a few close to the town center. This map is good for all plays including multiplayer. To play this map, the two files (Beyon' the Amazon.xs and Beyon' the Amozon.xml) must be placed in the folder: My DocumentsMy GamesAge of Empires 3RM. Company of Heroes: Bricks and Motars
Bricks and Motars is a balanced urban style 4 player map designed for multiplayer. (ie, no heavy weapons sitting around etc) with a moderate level of resources (40 fuel) available on the map. As you might expect in an urban environment, there is likely to be a fair amount of combat around buildings and there is a fair amount of cover around. The roads in the town do not offer negative cover, however.

Empire at War: Siege The Castle
Kkb is back with another map that is nothing short of eye candy. The difference is that this is a single player skirmish map. The rebels have a base that is off screen and can't be utilized by a human player. So, be the Empire. This siege will go on until you are destroyed. There was a space map of this same style submitted not too long ago, but I can't remember it's name and all my searches turned up empty (If anyone remembers post it in the comments, thanks). The only problem I came across is that the turbolasers guarding the eastern gate start off owned by the Rebels instead of the Empire. An easy fix. Keep the good stuff coming.
Quote:
Hey everyone, this is kkb with another map. This map is a survival based map where the Empire is settled in a castle while the Rebels attack the Empire wave after wave until the empire is destroyed. The Empire can't win the battle. Enjoy trying to defend against the unbeatable Rebel forces.

Jedi Knight III: Reactor Room 2
Reactors and Reactor Rooms are a staple of Science Fiction, as they are where... stuff, reacts! Usually to produce power or make a big explosion at the end of the film/story. Star Wars is no exception, from the exploding hypermatter reactor of the Death Stars to that other glaring design flaw of placing a Star Destroyers solar ionization reactor in an easily visible bulb on the bottom of the ship. Imperial designers clearly have a proclivity for horrific engineering decisions!

Anyway, I digress. Here we have a new map based on the theme of a reactor room, but which has some nice, subtle features such as the lighting scheme changing from blue, to green and then to red as you approach the reactor core itself. The map itself reminds me a lot of the Bespin shafts levels of JK2, especially the one where you have to work your way up to the top by waiting for those forcefields to appear which you then run across to get to the other side of the shaft in order to hitch a lift up to the next level.

Personally I think the map is a little sparse and could probably do with some more mechanical features, such as pipes, control panels, wires etc., though I did like the holographic displays used in the map. The author definitely shows he has some talent with architecture though as there are some nice shapes in the map, like the pillars/supports in the 'blue room' and those cool doors! I also liked the rotating object above the reactor beam, though it would be nice if it was more visible, or made into a bit more of a feature.

Version 3 of Duulan: Canyon Village, my most downloaded map. This version again sees a side change for the Duulanians, this time to civilian militita. The map has been improved and many small finishing touches have been added. This version of the map is quiet nice if I don't say so myself.

Here again is another update to an earlier map by Ty294. As mentioned above and in the readme, in addition to some minor tweaks, one of the factions' units have been changed. Star Wars Battlefront 2: Geonosis: Landing at Point Rain
When I see the title "Geonosis: Landing at Point Rain" - or any title like it, specifically, of the "including-the-word-Geonosis" sort - I go into a map with certain expectations. This is the point at which I will harp on the glut of Geonosis maps, etc. etc. For sake of brevity, let's just pretend that I did.

In any case, "Geonosis: Landing at Point Rain" by Darth_Spiderpig is a Geonosis map themed after - and get this - not Episode II, but the battle seen in the Clone Wars cartoon series. It was a tight little arc in the show and fun to watch, and I can see why it would inspire a revisit to Geonosis in the game.

For the part of making the map feel more like Clone Wars Geonosis and less like Episode II Geonosis, I think the author did a good job. Through liberal use of community-made models, the sides at the least feel and look a "good" different. The map itself is nice too - it's got all the Geonosis hallmarks, but it does mix it up with some custom models, some retouching to the stock models, and some nice lighting. Having the skydome flyers/animated props did a nice job too in setting the stage for the map. I think the author successfully avoided most of the things that make me groan about Geonosis maps specifically.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Jade Moon
"Jade Moon 1.3" is Jaspo's third? revision of his original map Jade Moon. Structurally, it remains very similar to its first version, with all the accoutrements that bears. It's still a little too large for my tastes, but there does appear to be a better job done in populating the world. I'm not a fan of big maps as a rule, so bear that in mind.

In any case, this version is a slightly updated change of the past versions. Its most notable change is the addition of two community-made new vehicles to the CW era. There is a full listing of changes below. It mentions that flyer splines were added, but I still often saw flyers crashing - I think a reduction in the amount of flyers would be beneficial. The author made a change to the behavior of marksman units, and while it may have been to his liking, I could have done without it. It was very irritating having the AI with their inerrant accuracy snipe at me from who-knows-where.The addition of the vehicles is a nice change, but a minor quibble - their weapons are all missing localization.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Tatooine: Outpost
"Tatooine: Outpost," by Jendo07, is another map along the lines of his "like-the-stock-maps-but-not-really" theme. As per the title, the map is set on Tatooine, and that should set the stage pretty well for what one can expect to see here. This map seems to be pretty representative of the Dune Sea on Tatooine - probably moreso than the actual Dune Sea map (of which the author did a redux), which was always more like the Jundland Wastes. This map has a lot of flowing dunes with some scattered areas of settlements or huts.

There are a lot of different modes to play - one thing I always like about this author's releases is that there is always a breadth of content - it makes it easy to play the map in a way that you like. You can play in conquest, 2-flag, and hero assault, along with one particularly interesting hunt mode.

While the map does a good job setting the scene as it should be, one thing that immediately stood out to me was how flat everything looked. No, I don't mean to say that the terrain appeared to be graded flat (it is actually quite hilly) - I mean that it, texturewise and lightingwise, looked pretty plain. And yes - deserts are like that. However, I think that because this was all done with terrain and because there was very little variation in the terrain texture or color, it didn't look quite real. I think that in this particular case, modeled terrain pieces might have worked well (because they would have picked up light better), or perhaps having some light, light color brushed on with the paint tool in ZE might have helped.
