Welcome to all for the 22nd version of the Gamefront Network Update - Files Section the second part of the weekly news post. Firstly I'd like to apologise for the lack of any screenshots for most of the files, unfortunately there isn't anything that I can do about that one myself, although it is currently being dealt with by the Break.com tech team (as mentioned by Goody in a previous news post) - unfortunately this makes this file post look fairly bad unfortunately frown - I apologise for this, this one also contains three weeks worth of files (so it includes the files from the 20th and 21st versions).

The Files part of the Weekly update includes the latest Files that has been posted on the Network Sites over the past two weeks including many different Modifications, Maps, re-skins, as well as anything from Starships to Trains for Railworks and much more.

As always we would like to here from you smile if you see something that you would like to be added to the to this update, or you have any suggestions that you think may improve the Network Update then simply drop me an email at Danny[at]filefront[dot]com (please put "Network Update" as the subject though ). If you like the Network Update please feel free write a comment as I would love to hear any critism, support or otherwise(constructive though please as this is the only way that I know how good or bad the insider is and it would help me to improve this further).

Introducing the new HollywoodFX mutator!

HollywoodFX will change every bullet impact and explosion in the game.

Ah, "Hollywood": the name promises a lot, doesn't it? Well, it's not really about the quality of effects (it's not exactly Avatar), but the type and style that you see in movies. Although unrealistic at times, the purpose of artistic license in these situations is to heighten the excitement, immersion, and utter danger of war, whether you are in a movie theater seat or in front of your PC.

This mutator significantly improves material detection and behavior. Most surfaces in RtH30 and especially EiB default to a few basic bullet impact types of effects. Well, say goodbye to the generic grey/white puffs of smoke. Dead bodies and animals have their own effect when shot; leaves fall from trees; stone shards are thrown from walls; even glass windows shatter. Bullets will seem to pass through thin cover like hay and wooden crates (although this is still only a visual effect). Lots of bullet impacts in the same area will generate a smokey haze.

CnC Generals: Enhanced Beta 0.6.2
After nine months of modding, the 2st beta is released. This beta (0.6.2) of Enhanced ZH Mod provides only skirmish gameplay. Improved a lot since the first released, read more in optional description. hide detail -

Empire at War: Galaxy of the Dead
This is THE mod for zombie lovers. Not much could be better than Star Wars and zombie killing combined in one awesome package. Offering everything from Infected Star Destroyers to various infected indigenous species this mod does a great job of expanding upon the ideas set down in the novel Death Troopers.

This mod is loosely based on the Star Wars novel, Death Troopers, by Joe Schreiber. It adds the Undead from the book and Star Wars Galaxies into the game as a non-playable faction in Galactic Conquest and adds a few new ground units to the existing factions. I'd like to thank Redtachi for allowing me to use his awesome Deathtrooper models. I'm sorry that this version of the mod has been so long in coming.

Empire at War: Mobius Beta
I guess I'll approve this. Only for the sake of trying to be unbiased. This seems to me to be a huge download for what it does. All it seems to do is add a planet to galactic conquest. It reads as [NONAME] or something like that. This is in serious need of some touching up. But I'll give the author credit for trying and getting something out there. Listen to the feedback (if anyone wants to climb this 143MB mountain.

Jedi Knight III: Realm of Magyk TC MP Demo

I’m not really a fan of Fantasy myself, though I can certainly see its appeal I have always been a Sci-Fi man at heart. That said I’m certainly not averse to some Fantasy themed JKA mods! And here we have just that; the interestingly named Realm of Magyk is a total conversion mod which aims to bring some Fantasy elements into JKA. What we have here is just the multiplayer demo, so I am sure the full mod while have a much wider scope than this, but still this is a pretty cool mod on it own!

First off we have a nice new menu screen, which cleverly imitates the default menu with its scrolling text and lightsaber noises by replacing them with scrolling text on a literal scroll textured background and that lovely metallic sound of a sword being sheathed/unsheathed just like the lightsaber activation/deactivation noises in the default menu, it even has a little sword cursor instead of the lightsaber one! Speaking of swords, there are also some sword models included in the package and Inyri Forge's excellent Crossbow mod for added authenticity! Along with that theme there is also a re skinned reborn in chain mail armour from CID's Medieval Knights Reborn Replacement mod, which again just goes to show that even the much maligned Reborn can look cool again if given the right treatment!

Then there are a couple of new maps, a duel map which is in a fairly clean and simple Medieval styled brick and wood building, and a larger FFA map which is modelled after an RPG type town with various buildings to go in and explore. There are also some long open fields south of the town where you can ride Taun Taun's... ok ok, so maybe that isn’t that authentic then, but nobody has to my knowledge ever made an actual horse mount (though there has been something close).

Star Wars Battlefront: Tactical Cache Beta
Fireflywater comes to us today with this side mod for the original Battlefront, entitled simply "Tactical Cache". This is a mod for all four basic sides, encompassing a wealth of weapon changes for the original game.

Basically all four sides have been majorly edited, with most of the weapons being redone and grossly powered up. For example, most of the rifles now shoot extremely fast and have little to no recoil. The sheer mass of new weapons makes it hard to go over each one, but there are some really cool ones in here - a lot of them automatically track or use physics in ways I haven't seen in the original Battlefront. There are little to no visual changes or changes to anything else other than the units and their weapons, but this is more than enough to keep things interesting.

Doom 3: Particle Tutorial Asset Pack
This is a small asset pack to be released for my tutorial I wrote at Doom3world.org. It contains a small room to be informative on blending method and includes particles that interact with light in real time for demonstration purposes, and also some examples of what one can do with a lot of hard work with the particle editor.

The most noticeable changes are to the weapons of the bfg, chaingun, and plasmagun. All their particle systems have been completely redone using existing Doom 3 particle textures and also extensive use of new custom made textures. There are also some other particle effects you will notice.

Elite Force 2: MOM - Multi Options Menu
This is a playable Tech Demo map, to demonstrate my new modification called MOM (Multi Options Menu).

The distinctive feature of this is that it enables the Player to use a specific Menu to choose between multiple options, his selection can be detected by the script and will perform the predefined action in a function. This is similar to the stock singleplayer Menus, but it works in multiplayer any time, without cheats enabled. 16 Options per Menu are provided from which the player can choose.

This map provides the following features:
- A two way Transporter with 4 available different coordinates
- A Replicator, allowing you to pick up and use the items
- 4 new interactivity indicator Symbols
- Gives a weapon to the player on spawn
- A Lift, with 9 levels to go
- A controllable Fontaine
- A Code access Panel
- A destructible Lamp
- 5 different Menus

Empire at War: F-Clan MOD
Most mods that alter the size of ships seem to make everything smaller, or at least they make a stock capital ship the base and then scale everything down from there. This mod seems to use the stock star fighter as a base, and scale everything up from there. The MC-80 is the size of my entire screen. That's not all this mod does, but it was the most noticeable. Check out the changelog to see the other changes that apply to different sections of the game.

This is a basic mod that changes many things in galaxy an melee mode. For example the basic ground units cost only 1 cred as well as the space stations in the galaxy mode. Many weapons are replaced by others, the sizes of some ships are altered. The mod was tested and improved by members of the [F]-Clan

"I WANT YOU for the Imperial Forces. Travel to exotic, distant galaxies, meet a wretched hive of scum and villainy, and disintegrate them". I still have that shirt, although I haven't worn it in 10 years, and I doubt it even comes close to fitting me anymore. That's the essence of this mod; "The imperials rock, so watch them kick the rebels to the curb". From what I could tell the empire is very overpowered, but that' what this is about, so good job. It's a nice mod for testing maps with, if you need something for that.

Empire at War: Mobius Planet
This is the new version of the Mobius Planet mod. It features some bug fixes as well as support for the English version of the game. It also features a smaller download due to the removal of some unnecessary music files. For those that did not check out the previous version of the mod this mod adds the planet Mobius; from the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Medal of Honor: Soviet Vixens final
Final version of the Soviet Vixens, which I hope has no flaws...

Soviet Vixens model skin is now available both for allied bots and allied human players; however, note that bot skins only is supported for the stock maps (both objective and deathmatch) All the bot support files for all stock maps. Bots have now simple russian and german names, so it is more realistic and easier to read them to know which team belongs them when reading the killboards. Texture reworkings (the screenshots were taken previously of the final changes, applied on pants, sleeves and gloves)

Five soviet weapons: SVT-40, Mosin Nagant 91/30, PPSh-41, Tokarev TT-33 and F1 grenade. The first three weapons extracted from Gen Cobra's Stalingrad Final addons and the other two from Russian Mod by Lt. Pato. These are the best weapon models that I have found. High realism weapon model applied to all weapons. I fixed the bullet hud for all the soviet weapons and the misplaced muzzle flash in PPSh-41. Although the weapons have the same aspect as the original created from their very creators, you will feel the difference when shooting them; same applies for the rest of the weapons. Thanks to Wikipedia I could create this model...

Medal of Honor: Weapons full realism model
This mod adds more realism to the model firing of small arms (machine guns too). The mod affects the range values, dispersion, damage and rate of fire from bullets, and the bullet load and weight of the weapon. Shotgun now shots nine pellet cartridges; each pellet is almost so damaging as a 9mm bullet, and the spread has been reduced, so it is much better weapon now and far much more realistic.

Operation Flashpoint: Vega Pack Final
Vega_Final - by CJ - A final set of the newer more detailed TOS ships i'm doing. 1 of roughly five sets to include stations Featuring the higher detailed ships with twin beams. The original USS Vega NCC-1806, One of my connies done with more detail and a dual beam bank appearancethat shows even on ofp v1.20.

These ships first are more accurate in appearance with a higher detailed secondary hull and deflector and all in this pack are seperate addons, there are west (Starfleet) and some for resistence (Terran Empire Starfleet), and the standard classes are also available for the east (TE or Terran Empire). Second, I did the ship with accurate details terran symbols and the ISS prior to name registry, also raised nacelles to proper height and size. Also included is the improved damage and strength to fuel supply, only requiring the texture addon.

Third, I did a dual beam bank that when fires appears as two beams, it is also in the new accurate blue color, also worth noting some use a hybrid of the Federation Class secondary hull, and one west ship with dual red beams. I will be releasing a few more of this era hero ships in the future, as well as my TNG addons once completed and tested, as well as a few new things like a simple, small TE Resistence side crewmen pack and a simple, small TOS west crewmen pack (for those who want to use a smaller addon of TOS personnel). Also some stations TOS era design that will be both ground and aerial based.

Stalker: Sclera's Interface Mod
WHAT IT DOES:

HUD -
Altered the look of the health and sprint bars. Removed all information that can't be determined through perception, i.e only health and stamina bars remain, and current ammo type.

PDA -
Several PDA's are included, using graphics of modern smartphones. A default is installed, options can be found in the options folder.

Cursor -
Three cursors are available; tiny, small, and medium. Medium is installed by default, others are included in the options folder.

Sound -
New 'contact in range' beep, and three sets of PDA sounds. A default is installed, options in the options folder.

Star Trek: Legacy: Muldrfs LM Tools Suite
Muldrf returns with a new version of the LM Tools Suite, this includes various upgrades including something which may help some of us Norton AV users with, (although I didn't have the issue) of throwing a fit about exe archives.

This version includes updates to the ModInstaller mod packing tool. Major reworking of the packager method. Self Extracting Exe Installers are no longer created by the Mod Installer. This is due to Symantec getting picky about .exe archives and wanting to delete them when downloading. The method is fairly similar to what it was except a .zip file is created instead. Read the Readme file for more details.

Star Trek: Legacy: Permenant Long Ranged Sensors and Warp
TjHawk provides legacy with an intruiging little addon, an adjustment to the warp and sensor systems that give you a little boost (albeit a balanced one) to perhaps tip the scales of a game mission in your favour. Download if you ever needed that added advantage or that torpedo to load a little quicker.

Ever feel like that the standard long range sensors in your legacy game weren't just enough? Like how you could never find those Romulan Transports in time? Never could see the "Secret" Romulan base until you escorted one Medical ship to a planet? Or never knowing how many Klingon ships awaits you before you attempt to steal the Bird of Prey?

Or how about feeling like when you run out of warp power that you feel like you don't have enough time for them to recharge and you ultimately fail your mission? Trying to dispatch your ships to get to save the medical ships? Or rushing to save colonists from Borg Spheres? Or Warping quick enough to destroy enough asteroids from crashing into a number of planets? Or even, trying to reach every Romulan ship before the destroy the Federation outpost?

Zube Brings along a quick patch to his 1.2 and 1.3 releases, to fix issues that occured in their development. See readme for the fix list. Download for the update. This is just a simple and quick fix on 1.4 Star Trek Legacy, apparently some mishap with the ODF and few unsolved errors in the 1.3 series and 1.4 patch. Just read the Readme section in order to get the idea what's in the patch.

Note: If you have 1.3 or 1.3+ (of any month) you can automatically use 1.4 and directly patch the game with out downloading and installing the 1.3+ series.

Armada 2: Zero Hour Romulan Shadow
Constructed in secret by the Tal Shiar, the Suresh Type is ideal for specialist operations both in and out of enemy lines. Fitted with some prototype weaponry can make these ships deadly, though their hull strength and general agility tend to suffer due to energy strains.

I found the 'Warbird Head' a destinctive sight that should have been specific to the D'Deridex, so for the purpose of Zero Hour, I asked Aad if he'd redo the front textures, and to tweak the model a little bit. This was the result. This file uses the stock Build Button and Wireframe. This presents itself as a complete rebuild of the stock Shadow Class provided by Mad Doc and Activision.

Call of Duty: United Offensive: HK21 LMG for COD and UO
This a high detailed and hi poly HK21E light machine gun I made for Call of Duty. I modeled and textured the hk21 in Maya and animated it in Milkshape 3d. The HK21 is a powerful light machine gun that fires the 7.62x51mm round at has a cyclic fire rate of 700 rpm and weighs 20 pounds (which reduces recoil and mobility). This weapon replaces the Bren and no permission is needed if you put this in any mod, but please give credit to me. Have Fun and pwn some n00bs! big grin

Elite Force 2: Compression Rifle for all missions
Just a small mod that will allow you to use the original Compression Rifle in all missions of the game. I thought that there was only one type of compression rifle in the whole game, unlike the different hand phasers and tricorders you get. But fair enough.

Important Note: If you try to load a game saved before this was added, the Rifle won't appear until the next mission. Presumably because the weapons for that mission have already been selected.

Jedi Knight III: Tron Legacy - Enter the Grid
Tron: Legacy was one film I really wanted to see last year, however unfortunately I was never able to get around to it, oh well I guess I will get the DVD! Anyway, despite my aforementioned unfamiliarity with the latest Tron film I know a cool skin when I see one, especially when it has glowy bits! Mmmmm glowyness...

Eherm, anyway, this skin is based in part off the character of Rinzler from Tron: Legacy and having had a look at the pictures I could find of this character on t'internet I think the author has done a good job on the likeness. Certainly he chose the right model to reskin as it has just the right shape, however while the skin itself is good, the shiny shader that has been applied to it is way too shiny in my opinion and obscures the detail on the clothing itself. Looking at some reference pictures I think more of a satin sheen would be better, I’m pretty sure there is a texture/shader for that somewhere in JKA's assets, I know I have used one of the Byss floor shaders before which if my memory serves me correctly has more of a satin sheen. Though that was for a map I’m sure the shader and texture can be reused for a skin.

Despite the somewhat overbearing shiny shader this does have team skins and also some cool new sounds which is a big plus, while I can understand the difficulty of finding/making new sounds for a skin I definitely think it is well worth the effort! The readme does say that there are other colour variations for this skin, including orange, green and others, these did not appear in the skin selection menu and the readme does not include the model codes to get them, so that’s something that’s worth including next time.

cjconnietngV3 (FINAL) - A revision plus additions to my original ship packs tng and tngV2 by CJ

Features the initial addons (except cj_fctex and Q5CNT from pack 1), all with some variations. Plus there are additional TNG era Connies in the pack, along with a few heroes. The ship have improvements in appearance with a few details added to their hulls. The ships come in west UFP units, with East and resistence units represented by the Terran Empirecomes forces. Each available individually as seperate addons, requiring only the texture addon (cj_ftex) to use.

They now have some different names the TNG original name was changed to Xedalla, and the MK VII to Aexar. Also I did some changes to their bridges so they don't all have the same exact appearance, many variations. Also included is the improved damage and strength to fuel supply, as will all my future final releases will have. Third, I did some modifications to the weapons giving them a true TOS style look, some of the phasers are in the new accurate blue color, while others (specifically Mk II still is dark blue phasers) using other weapons like the mk v using tetryon based weaponry are still their original color.

TOShull_Final - A higher detailed ship pack with the white TOS hull by CJ. Features the hero ships USS/ISS Yaan NCC-1762, USS/ISS Oblik NCC-1772, USS/ISS Eskiis NCC-1789, and USS/ISS Formalhaut NCC-1804 along with a standard Constitution class ship armed with a heavy accelerator cannon. The ship is more accurate in appearance with a higher detailed secondary hull. The ships come in west UFP units, with East and resistence units represented by the Terran Empirecomes forces. Each available individually as seperate addons, requiring only the texture addon (cj_ftex) to use.

Specifically to this pack are nacelle registries that appear well on some video cards and not clear but not bad on others(I tried them on more than one machine). ISS is prior to name registry on Terran Units as well, with raised nacelles to near proper height and to proper size. Units appear as they should in their role having the variances between Terran Forces and the Federation. Also included is the improved damage and strength to fuel supply, as will all my future final releases will have.

Third, I did some major modifications to the bridges giving them a true TOS style look, and the phasers are also in the new accurate blue color. I will be releasing a few more of this era hero ships in the future, as well as my TNG addons once completed and tested, now detailed once more in a project file.

Six variants are included and increase in strength progressively. Based off of combat with a Galaxy class the range is from easy to almost impossible. Just like in the show - Arsenal of Freedom.

Star Trek: Legacy: Rudianos's Lysian Command Center
The Lysians are a primitive race technogically - though their Starbases are works of art. Home to 15,000 people - this station is armed with lasers, rail guns, and nuclear missles. All weapons are new and have a very primitive feel from them. Of course in the episode Conundrum Picard chose not to engage this station as it was too primitive. You will have the choice - one torpedo will almost take care of it.

I have included four versions - a standard station (canon), a refit (to make it battle worthy), a playable canon station, and a refit that is playable. The playable station can turn slowly and have a full forward thruster burst (activated by warp).

This station is a will make a beautiful addition to any map - and is ready to go for someone to script a mission for her.

MAP OVERVIEW:

This map takes place in a Cemetery. It has about 8 plots of tombstones. There is a large church with access to the underground crypts.
There is a main office with a church bell that players can ring to attract other players, which also has crypt access.
Other buildings include, crypt entrances,shacks and a Crematorium. A small pond. Electric Fences and wooden fences.
Thick fog and tombstones cover most of the map. There is plenty to explore.
Fall down the well, you may not die but you may find an Easter egg. The map includes three mortar positions.
Players can trigger the mortar emplacements to kill other players around the map. Check the Mini-map Legend for specifics on mortar zones.
The map comes with a config. file for all teh map Dvars. Thanks for your support.

Call of Duty: World at War: Strasbourg (beta 1.0)
This map was originally built for the Base Assault mod in 2010. This version has more detail and bug fixes from the original. The layout of the map is fictional but nearly all buildings were built from photograph references.

Due to the chokepoints that bridges create, I decided to only use parts of the map for certain gametypes. The entire map is open in DM, TDM, HQ, and TWAR, different halves are used for the remaining gametypes. The center bridge is destroyed in most gametypes, in TWAR it is intact just like the side bridges but vehicles are blocked.

All gametypes are supported, as well as all killstreaks. Dogs have multiple entrance & exit points and have access to roam the entire playable area.

This is a open beta test of my new map based upon the Sovereign class vessel USS Ark Royal. Empire at War: Abregado Ports (2.0)
This is actually a 2.0 of my first-ever map, Abregado Ports. I haven't changed much in terms of general landscaping, but I have added some new structures and re-textured the map The map is set in Abregado's capital port city (which I forget the name of) and has two sides: an Imperial side, and rebel side. There is a major choke-point bridge with four captureable trubolaser towers around it.

Whoever controls this controls the map. There is also some secondary objectives and eye candy as I realized that the map would be very boring without something else than bridge control.
That's really the whole run-down of the map.

Empire at War: Dusk At DawUn
Dusk at DawUn is an excellent example of a map that has taken time and dedication to create. This map presents a nicely detailed multi-tiered battlefield that has you fighting in a moon landscape through various facilities. The author has put great effort into prop work and has carved an excellent map with the height tool. Be sure to download Yoden's Prop Pack before playing this map. Sadly the picture server is not working and cannot do this land map justice.

Empire at War: Survival Mappack V1
Hey, sorry about my last map, Matheyus Down. Unfortunately, the map had a couple bugs and none of the structures or extra units showed up. Please don't comment about how it doesn't work, because I know, and I am working on version 2, that will include the night version AND the daytime version I promised you guys.

As for THIS mappack, It has been tested, and both maps work. There are stories for each map, both in the ReadMe. The maps are "Survival of the Fittest" on land, and "If they came to here me beg..." in space. I know that the last one is a quote from Halo 2, but it's a good quote. Each one was inspired by another survival mappack on this site, credit to megavin123 for the idea.

Basically, you start in the dead center of each map with enemies on all sides. But the catch; ememy bases are outside the map, so you can't win! Don't think of this as stupid, because it is the exact opposite. It is like firefight in Halo, or Nazi Zombies in CoD. Just last as long as possible against enemies coming in on all sides.

Far Cry 2: Woodland Wonderland
I recently started playing around with the Far Cry 2 map editor. What an awesome piece of software! This is more of an experiment for me rather than a mission to make a great map but I've spent a fair bit of time trying to make it balanced by observing many online games with 12-16 players.

Set on the Zambezi river near an abandoned work site, Woodland Wonderland is a Far Cry 2 custom multiplayer map. It's primarily made for Uprising but supports all gamemodes. I focused on making the map not too sniper friendly. It's my first attempt at map making and I think the far Cry 2 map editor is a great place to start. It's very user friendly. An excellent piece if software. I've only put ammo supplies in one central point of the map to reduce camping domination at objectives.

Halo: Combat Evolved: B30 Ghost
Basically, this is still exactly the same as the original Halo Trial level, only instead of Foe Hammer dropping off a Warthog, she drops off a Ghost.

Everything else is pretty much unchanged.

Jedi Knight II: mcbeachv51

Whilst it does not seem to be explicitly stated in the readme, I would guess that this map is designed as a clan map, considering its theme and contents; a huge and very open map with lots of different and unique places to explore and use within it. Kind of like a theme park you could say. The readme contains quite a detailed list of the various features in this map, but a few of the notable ones include a galleon which appears to have just sailed out of a giant bottle, a hotel, a very cool admin room with what seem to be working viewscreens which display what is happening in the map (at first I thought they were windows until I realised the admin room was actually underground, I also didn’t know that the necessary shaders and such for creating such viewscreens worked in JK2!), various things in the map you can change from the admin room such as; changing the water to lava, changing the sky to one of your choosing, including night skies and other cool stuff!

One other thing you can change, which I should mention because it is so unusual, is the chat bubble, which can be changed to a small version of the LucasArts/Raven title sequence that plays when the game loads (among other things), I didn’t know either changing the chat bubble image or making said image a video was even possible! Very clever!

While there is certainly a lot to see in this map, I believe it needs a lot more work on the mapping side of things. At one side of the map you can see that portions of the big sandy mound there are invisible, this can be caused when a brush which has many faces is not made into a 'detail brush'; faces of the brush can disappear. To fix this make sure brushes like this are made into 'detail brushes' by selecting the brush and then going to selection → make detail in GTK Radiant. Another issue is that the corners of what appear to be a racetrack around the edge of the map are made from patches which do not connect to anything, meaning you can look right round the gap between the rock wall and the patch which is meant to be the corner of the rock wall, this definitely needs to be fixed.

Jedi Knight III: Korriban Holdout
TK-962 returns with another Korriban themed map, this time a very nicely sized FFA map! Now we get a lot of Korriban themed maps here on JKFiles, in fact I would say they are second only to Yavin themed maps, probably because the texture set is well defined and has plenty of textures to choose from, and the architecture is fairly simple yet looks cool and you can get a nice eerie Sith atmosphere with the careful use of light and sound/music.

While I don’t think the music for this map fits particularly well (its the MP main menu music) the author has done a good job with the sharp and angular Korriban themed architecture, which has improved nicely since his last Korriban themed duel map. Being an FFA map there is also quite a lot to explore here with the winding passageways and sets of stairs leading here and there giving the impression of a hive. I especially liked the cracked wall, which can be destroyed to reach the chamber beyond, though I was a little disappointed to find that I could have just walked into the chamber from the other side if I had just gone around the corner! Cracked and broken walls like that are best used to point the way to a secret area rather than an easily accessible one, but it was a fun little feature nonetheless!

There are a few features which don’t fit with the Korriban theme however, one of these is the trees in the courtyard, Korriban is a volcanic desert wasteland, and as far as I know doesn’t have any trees. There is also a pool of water under a glass section in the floor in one of the rooms, to be honest I think any Sith Lord living here would much prefer lava instead! Lastly the statues with the blue crystals are Jedi styles statues and again the blue theme doesn’t really fit Korriban/Sith architecture which works much better with reds and yellows for the lighting.

Medal of Honor: Stalingrad Realism
This mod adds more realism to the model firing of small arms (machine guns too). The mod affects the range values, dispersion, damage and rate of fire from bullets, and the bullet load and weight of the weapon. Shotgun now shots nine pellet cartridges; each pellet is almost so damaging as a 9mm bullet, and the spread has been reduced, so it is much better weapon now and far much more realistic.

Medal of Honor Spearhead: Porky's Oinkville
New MOHAA spearhead map commissioned by SpearheadLounge for Inter-Clan Customs Club play. Map is a great map for team play for up to 24 players. Although the map is large, it is a great run and run map when complimented with your own weapons mod. Snipers will love the many areas that are accessible, roofs, trees, wires, etc. Many of the added features were scripted in so they can easily be scripted out if desired. Star Wars Battlefront 2: Kafah Minor
Here's an update to Kafah Minor from a_speck_of_dust.

A snowy forest map? It's a unique setting, and a lot of attention has been paid to it. Everyone's seen the harsh desert, the lush forest, the barren asteroid, but something as simple as putting snow in a forest makes it really stand out. Every tree has been individually placed (a nightmarish chore, to say the least), and they're all at about the right density, giving the feel of the semi-sp***** woodland. It all comes off very nicely, textures are good, falling snow, etc.

Now, for the battle itself. There's a lot of units. I'd say a bit too many, myself, for the size of this map. They all tunnel towards the center base, and after one team takes it, it's virtually impossible to get that cp away, due to the hordes of units that continually spawn. Not that the enemy hordes don't try. The beam turrets mow down the attackers, and unless the player takes it upon themself to sneak around to one of the less-spawned-from cps, the battle stalls out there. Not to say it isn't fun in the chaos that takes place, I'd just like a bit more places for the chaos, or some result from it.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Tatooine: Outpost
Pros - feels new despite being on a much-used planet, good environment, decent gameplay, good range of game modes.
Cons - extra heroes spawning in hunt modes, bit of trekking around in conquest/flag mode.

Jendo's second version of Tatooine: Outpost is pretty much extra content and bugfixes added to his previous releasedversion of the same map.

The map is set in the deserts of Tatooine, and seems to have more of a 'Dune Sea' vibe to it than the stock 'Dune Sea' map from BF1. The map is mostly made of rolling dunes with various points of interest such as a small outpost, a sandcrawler and a tusken camp. Visually the map holds itself together very well to create a believable environment (personally I think the dunes are particuarly impressive).

Despite being a mostly terrain map gameplay is still decent due to the steep dunes providing some cover. Combat varies between spread out in standard conquest mode to the hills absolutely crawling with soldiers in XL. There's a good range of game modes and the supported eras include DT, BFX and some future CW mods.

CW Hunt mode is particuarly interesting - Anakin vs Tuskens, as seen in Episode II. While its a bit one sided and another Anakin will occasionally spawn (I responded to this in the appropriate manner, by ruthelessly hurling him to the tusken raiders and cutting him down) its quite entertaining.

Well worth a download, especially if the screens or previous version appealed.

Defend Your Castle - God's Wrath II V2.2

What is DYC? - DYC or Defend Your castle is a collection of Games for example DYC I, DYC-GW and others. For know it has only known Games. The active in developing is DYC-GW which is an AoS map.

What is DYC-GW? - Is an AoS map based from DotA which is the best. This are the features AI, 31 Heroes, ALMOST 90 Items(almost 50 Buildable items, Almost 40 Basic Items), AI chat messaging in some situations, Neutral Creeps is Revived, Good Terraining and Many more.It is the 2nd version of the 2nd version of DYC-GW.

Gameplay: Like in Dota, You will need to destroy the main building which are the Demonic Portal and the World Kingdom. There is 2 separate teams Peace Alliance which composes of Gods and Humans and Demonic Alliance which composes Demons. You can also changed the Game play anyway you like for example -km 1000 meaning you will only end the game when you reach 1000 kills. See the list of Game Modes for more modes. You will also need to gain money to buy items which will help you to defeat enemy heroes. You can also Farm or Jungle which means to kill neutral creeps to gain money and Experience. There are Player Creeps that spawns from your base which helps you to kill Heroes, Not to make the Game boring and also win the Game without even dying to just destroy a little tower, You can also turn off Player Creep Spawning. You can also kill the King of Neutrals which is venomus so that you gain alliance from neutral. There are 3 lanes in the game.

Hello, and welcome to the last days of The Lich King!

Stormwind is currently the humans greatest city. But now the Lich King has heard of Deathwing's arrival, and is
nerdraged to hear about the popularity around him. So now he has marched into the rocky mountains, covering Stormwind's backdoor, which also is the least defended spot of the city. Reinforcements have to be called,
extra defenses have to be built, and heroes need to be summoned!

Defense of Stormwind is a mix of HeroDefense, a little TD, PvP and hopefully some interesting bossfights. I will be very grateful if you take time to read the description (at http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/defense-stormwind-v1-28-a-184213/) and play the map. If you like it, please vote for approval! I have tried to balance DoS so it can be played from 1vsComp to 4vsComp, from Compvs1 to Compvs4, or from 1vs1 to 4vs4, but the best experience is gained by playing against The Lich King, since StormwindComputerVsPlayers is just extra-material added in v1.28!

Warcraft III: Tom and Jerry 2011
This is simple tag map. Advanced version of old map Cat catch the Mouse. There are 2 teams,Tom's team and Jerry's team.

Tom's team: When game starts you chose from 6 different cats.You need to build base, harvest cheese and lumber, hunt all enemy mouse and kill them. When all mouse are dead you win the game. If you get killed you can revive in your main building for cost of some gold and lumber.You lose if all players from your team are dead.

Jerry's team: You start game like 1 mouse, you need to make base quickly and surround it with barricades so cat cant reach you. Then you need to harvest cheese and lumber, make strong army and kill all cats.Remember cat can revive, so it is the best to destroy cat's main building. If you get killed your friends can save you by attacking cage where you will be captured.Cage is always located in center of map.

Shops: 4 shops with very useful items are located at the center of the map. Some stronger items from this shops can turn game in you advantage.

I just checked the links do work although sometimes they show a file not found link (even though that is the correct link!) - if that happens refresh the page until they show!

edit - The farcry link didn't work but that has been fixed, if you notice any that goto a page not found error - 404 (i.e. not a file not found filefront page - if you get this one try refreshing the page, I found this a couple of times when making the insider frown ) let me know

I reported this issue in the FileFront.com Help Center forum a while ago about my map but it's still the same.

Anyway, it has the Page Not Found error, and refreshing it doesn't work either.

Thats odd because that link works for me? Although for some reason I had a few working links that told me that the file didn't exist one time but then the next time it worked fine so I don't know what was wrong with that!

(oh by page not found I meant ones that went to a 404 page rather than a filefront error page wink )

Question: If I click on some files, I get the message those files have been deleted,
although they are from yesterday or so. Is this a filefront bug, or is it connected to some server shutdown?

The files haven't been deleted its just another bug, if you press refresh (some times more than once) (F5) they should show up (I found this as well unfortunately)

Good to see acknowledgement of the issues. Half of the sites I've been to over the years would have denied the issues, packed up and left. Nice to see you guys try. You're a lot better than the NFL. smile
