Gamespot Finds Hot Coffee - Updates
  Posted by: Deathbyteacup on 07-16-2005 @ 09:46 - Source: Gamespot.com

Gamespot.com may have blown gaming’s scandal-of-the-week wide open. Using nothing more than an Action Replay Max and codes posted on Kotaku.com, Gspot's editors managed to unlock the sexually graphic scenes on the PS2 version of GTA: San Andreas. Gamespot’s story notes that while the sex scenes are not nearly as explicit as message board chatter has led many gamers to believe, they do “appear to contradict Rockstar Games' carefully worded statement blaming hacker mischief.”

Those people who found out how to make the hot coffee appear on the PC are just so gay! If they said that they were the people who made the hot coffee mod then the ESRB crap or whatever its called would stop the investigation and there would be no trouble! But no they have to act like pussies and say that it was already in there by Rockstar which caused lots of trouble! Idiots! Aaargh!!!

The people who unlocked the mini games are modders, not hackers.

It's just like the skateboard model. They left it in but edited the code out. Rockstar left it in, that's a fact. Coders just unlocked it and added things to it to make the Hot Coffee mod.

What really bugs me is that Rockstar decided from the beginning to attack the modders by calling them hackers in violation of the software user agreement. The article makes it perfectly clear that Rockstar is lying about who created the content, but they could still make an attempt to exact revenge upon the modding community by trying to sue any modder for "violating the software user agreement." If they succeed in scaring people off from modding this game, I for one will quit buying their products. As a modder, I feel like this is a stab in the back. Strong modding communities bring in more customers. There are certain games I own ONLY because of the modding community supporting it. I hope Rockstar finds out that this is a very bad business practice.

I love there games but if Rockstar start calling modders hackers, they can kiss my "green" goodbye If there going to start burning there customers for unlock crap they left in the game in the first place. The AO rating there going to put on it is total B Freaking S. Heck they practically gave us the tools to mod the game. Hillary Clinton is alway b****ing about violence and sex in games, WTF does she think is on TV. Ive seen a hell of alot worse on TV then I've seen on games. To me games dosn't have anything to do with childrens behavior its the parents are the ones who don't know that the game was rated "M" for mature. Mature mean people that are mature not ones that are Immature. Its very sorry that Rockstar is grilling there faithful and loyal costumers and pratically making them the badguy. I'm starting to agree with #9 that freedom is beginning to become illusionary. To me government has no place in the gaming industry. I really wouldn't be supprised if the FCC is monitering this site right now, you know how they are. Sorry if I offended anyone with this post I'm normally not like this. ^_^
