  San Andreas Leaked to Pirates? Apparently not... - Misc
  Posted by: Deathbyteacup on 05-28-2005 @ 11:26 - Source: GTAGaming
This News Item has been viewed 3,125 times
There was alot of confusion and panic in the Grand Theft Auto community earlier when several major GTA sites reported a leaked version of San Andreas for PC had made it into underground networks. Here is what the news said;

Quote:
San Andreas is in the hands of the pirates. That's the word coming from other GTA websites as this news is written. The PC version is scheduled for retail release in just over a week, but some people would like you to think they have it now.

GTANet (who claim to "trust" the "pirate") have posted some very low quality (well, it wouldn't be piracy if people could afford cameras now, would it?) images of a PC monitor allegedy running San Andreas PC.

We'll have to wait and see whether the images are real and we're expecting a "please don't download it" type statement from Rockstar soon too.

Turns out that the information the other sites posted were incorrect and, rightfully so, GTAGaming never made the news final. With such a short time until the PC release, is it possible for it to make it to relese day without a leak? Discuss.

It did say that the shots were low quality, however.

GTA: San Andreas WILL be out to download on the same day as its out whether you like it or not. What difference does it make if it's out before the official release? The point is that people will play the game without paying a single penny.

GTA San Andreas has been leaked! The game has been pirated by a ripping group called HOODLUM.
